I am having a somewhat similar problem. When I open a PDF file in Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, the file opens then sometime later the menu bar and the 'title bar' (above menu bar) disappear. Now I have no way to save, save as, print, etc except by using the icons.

Unfortunately, not all of the functions are on an icon. I have not found a PDF file that didn't do this. Sometimes the menu bar disappears in a few seconds sometimes it takes a few minutes. Most frequently it seems to happen when I am moving the mouse to open a menu and make a selection. NOTE - the PDF file is in a window, not full screen.
